To Recaro, or not to Recaro?
I have a 2004 XKR with the Recaro seats. I find them very comfortable and they hold you well. I have never tried the standard seats, but they look pretty comfortable too. Personally, I don't know that I would pay extra for the Recaros for what that's worth. I do know that I love the car though.
I have the factory Recaro's but despite the seat rail extension it is still too tight for me in the car. I'm also wondering whether you have more legroom in the bucket seats in the rearmost position, as the seat seems to be thinner overall. What are your experiences with this?

I'm short (5'4"). Leg room has never been a problem for me even in a Lotus Elise or in economy class seats on an airplane.

Hi, this was almost seven years ago now and I never again put the bucket seat in the jag. As I remember it, I had plenty of legroom despite being 6.2 feet tall. It partly is a question of the mounting brackets between seat and floor, or if you are able to bolt rails directly to the floor which I managed to. With a helmet on for the race track, I had just the space needed inside the ceiling
