Default Recommend an auto transporter?

Any recommendations for a top notch shipper to take an xkr from
Dallas to Boston? Thanks, Ed.

I used Passport transport and they are amazing. They are strictly an enclosed transport carrier so it's expensive. There is an gps transponder placed in the your car and you can track it all the way to it's destination. They are top rated and really take care of your car.

I've had good experience with Intercity Lines, and I've heard Precious Metals is also good.

Here is Intercity's web site...they've got Jay Leno's endorsement, and I hear he owns a few cars.

Good luck.

If I remember correctly, OhioXK had good luck recently. He hired a foreign guy with a thick accent, a plumber's van, and a rickety trailer to haul his car for him. Contact OhioXK to get the guy's number.

lol.
actually I hired a company that came with good references (from a Jaguar/Aston Martin dealership) and they outsourced it to idiots I think the local company that delivered it was related to the hello my name is peggy people hello my name is peggy

My (perhaps incorrect) understanding is that most of these transport companies outsource the trucking to various drivers, so if they're dealing with someone new you could end up in a situation like mine no matter how good the reputation of the people you speak with is The key point is what they'll be willing to do to make it right, if something should go wrong.

a colleague recently had a good experience shipping a car with Passport Transport. Enclosed carrier and said the customer service and communication about pickup/dropoff was very good.

Im not sure how to tell if one is top notch, but I got an XKR coupe shipped in '09 from Dallas to Virginia Beach by Lone Star Auto Transport in Frisco, TX 800-240-2101. They got the car to my house on time with no damage. I guess that's what you want. Price was about $800.

Guy is a broker came highly recommended from the person I bought my XK8 from in Texas; needed to ship it to CA. He used Todd to ship his maserati from CA to TX. Guy is stand-up, honest and educated me in a very short time. For an excellent price I got my car in a high quality enclosed transport.

Cheers -Terrapin
