Default Repair parts reasonably priced anywhere?

My local dealer replacement parts are always the highest by far when I shop around looking for parts. What are the best sources for parts with reasonable prices? 2005 XK8. Thanks.

It depends on what parts you're needing.

When RockAuto.com has the parts needed, I'll buy them there. Their Jag parts are somewhat limited--nothing like a dealer. Mainly maintenance items. They're now the largest car parts operation in the U.S., and their service level has been very good. You can Google them for 5% discount PINS most of the time.

Another source is Autobarn.net

Many use Welsh Enterprises for the metal thermostat housing.

For secondary camshaft tensioners, it's Tousley Ford online looking for 02 Lincoln LS V-8 parts. They sell parts @ 10% over cost. (Most dealer employees cannot get parts that cheap.)

For Jaguar parts from an authorized dealer, it's Nalley Jaguar in Alpharetta, GA (North Atlanta.) Their level of knowledge and service is great. Mention you're a member of this forum for a discount. (They also monitor this forum.)

For used/salvage parts, look at Car-Parts.com, which is a nationwide internet network of independent salvage yards. The big national salvage yard chains will also be on there. Finding out where the salvage units in your locale can be mandatory to keeping these cars going at reasonable repair prices. Coventry West in Lithonia, GA (East Atlanta) has hundreds of Jaguars junked out, and has warehoused engines, etc. Within 250 miles of my house, I've located dozens of cars like mine in salvage yards.

There are other parts sources mentioned from time to time on this forum for new and used parts.

I have had success using RockAuto Auto Parts . Nice folks and good parts at great prices. Easy to navigate web site.
