This cannot be considered a hijack because I started the thread.
Sometimes brand name means nothing. Wanted to replace injectors on my Carerra. Pelican parts was having a sale from around $120 to $60 each for Bosch fuel injectors. The also had Porsche brand injectors for $360 each. I knew Bosch were OEM so I called and asked what was the difference. Answer: same Bosch injector inside labeled Bosch but little cardboard box say Porsche.

I found my leak at this one way check valve area. Can it be bypassed?

Replace the check valve. It's there for a reason.

^^+1
It is available separately (part # MJA6732CA), but you will pay handsomely for it, I'm afraid.
If the octopus is of any age, I'd suggest replacing it complete.

I replaced the valley hoses and within a week my radiator sprung a leak. Might be worth replacing that too if it is still the original. It has plastic side pods which is a weak spot.

Some recommend replacing the knock sensors while the intake is off.

I’ve done it with manifold on, but not bad idea.

Helpful items. Little spray of silicone on outside of hose for clamps to slide into place. Hoses sliding on fine. To remove had to cut most length wise at connection because 23 years had glued hose to metal and not much room to pull and twist.

Both original and replacement hose on right have this partial kink. Doesn’t seem right. Can someone send me a pic of theirs?

Moving these connectors made room for octopus hose. Should have done when removing old one.

The weird kink is correct. Mine had it too. Don't sweat it.

When I pulled my intake off and was cleaning it up, I looked at that stupid little plastic sleeve in the elbow. I went to pull it out to clean it and it disintegrated. Very brittle from 20-odd years, I suppose. Very frustrating.

I'd love to know if anybody knows of a suitable replacement. I stuck the hose back into the elbow and surrounded it with some Hondabond. It still has a small vacuum leak, but not serious.

You need a C2S15816. It's flagged for the S-type, but is the same.

Strictly, you only need the insert.

The trick to disengaging the vac pipe from the TB is to press the black insert into the ferrule while pulling (gently) on the pipe.

Wasn’t trying to remove, just bumped when wrestling hose in.
This also broke. Pic is post repair.

Híjole!! $40??

But, seriously, thanks!! I guess I'll have to get one.

When disassembling I got the hose out OK. But when futzing with the black plastic part during cleaning it just disintegrated. Yay, plastic!

Yeah, one of the legs fell off mine first time around.
I'm afraid Jaguar spares prices have gone silly over the last 3 or 4 years. I paid less than $10 for that kit in 2020
