Default Restricted Performance

Hi All,

Have had Restricted Performance flickering on the dashboard for the past 10 days. Got the codes read and it appears to be a knock sensor failure. Has anyone had a similar issue? Easy to replace?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Yes I did! Go to my page and see my write up on my restricted performance issue. It was a royal pain in the you know what. You were lucky to get the code.

Thanks, Gus. A very informative account of your efforts. Glad you got it sorted.

Update: So, I had the faulty knock sensor replaced with a second-hand sensor (tested to make sure it was working OK). Drove for about 15km and all was fine. On the drive back, only about 2 minutes after starting the engine, the RP message came back and flickered on and off for the remainder of the trip. It's been flickering on and off since then, though not as frequently as before I has the the sensor replaced. Very furstrating. Having the ECU codes read tomorrow and investigated. Any thoughts?
