Default Restricted Performance / Coolant Leak

Hi, looking for further advice.

Trying to fix my dad's 2000 xk8. Car was running and driving fine, however had a coolant leak due to split thermostat housing, which has been replaced, but since then the car wouldn't start, changed the battery and knock sensors as that came up on the fault codes, but it starts but in restricted performance mode, miss firing and it will idle but as soon as you touch the throttle it cuts out.

Any ideas what could be causing this? What else would a coolant leak affect? No more codes are appearing either. Thank you!

Since it is running in restricted performance mode, I'm sure that there must be a code being generated. Which scanner are you using and can you see the live data?

Did you do a hard reset after replacing all those parts ? That often helps the various “brains” forget about their meltdown, and start with a clean slate.

Maybe some coolant or water in the spark plug holes? Did you wash the engine?
