Right Quarterlight Window Issue
Tested my convertible roof yesterday. Roof opened fine and closed fine, but the right quarterlight did not close at all. Left one was fine. I switched the relays left with right and vice versa. Same issue with the right and left works fine, so not bad relays. Gave the quarterlight a bit of a tug and repeated the open/close sequence. Now it comes up halfway. I can hear the motor trying to raise it.
Any thoughts as to a next step? Does the window regulator need replacing? Aargh!

Thanks. And the regulator is rather difficult to access I think, according to the YouTube video I have seen?
So do I try this myself...or try to have it done by a pro? What should I expect in terms of cost to have it done?
OR Is there any way to get the window in the up position and just leave it there?

RPH, sometimes it's the wire cord that has jumped the channel, but still have to take it apart for repair.
Did you watch Sam's Video? It should be in the upper part of the Forum Opening page.
All that said, the Jaguar Dealer will be out of sight and If you can see what parts are needed, might be able to get them, but a junk yard would be best and carry a 12V pack with you to test.
Now, are you in the NH area on NC area? If close to some of the members, they may have done this little job and be willing to help.
Not bad job get to it behind the ram and speaker.
Couldn't find the video right now, but here is the fix kit.

Thanks cjd777. I have seen the video and I don’t think it takes unusual tools so I may try to get in there and take a look to see what’s wrong before splashing for a full replacement. No way would I take it to a dealer!
I’m in NC for the winter near Pinehurst. The thing is stuck half way open with no play up or down. If I could get it full up at least I could drive it.

I'm betting the cord is wrapped up around the motor drive. If luck was with you, maybe get to it and pull it out of the channel, allowing you to move it up. It's a complete one on unit, so the glass, motor and all have to come out for service.
If you want to come this way, would be glad to help, but it's a pretty good trip and I know Jon is tied up this weekend. We both enjoy digging into the unknown, well not really.
Good luck and know with all the virus problems, best to be careful.
