Default Road Noise, of sorts?

I get a lot of noise from what sounds like stones hitting the insides of the wheel arches. On previous cars, it has been caused by the wheel arch liners being missing. I've checked that all the liners are in place, so i was just wondering if this is a normal phenomenon of the XK8/R?

Cheers

Reg

Did you also check the front undertray is properly secured to the front bumper and the crossmember?

this may be too simple of an answer but high performance tires are known to pick up and kick out anything on the road...perhaps just "marbles".

That did appear to me to be the most plausible answer, i've got nothing (obviously) loose under the car.

That reminds me of the urban legends running around in which angry Union workers on the Cadillac Eldorado Convertible line stuck nasty notes inside cans or bottles in the drivers doors...causing rattles causing owner to eventually get said nasty gram.

I'm sure this never happened, as no self respecting service department would ever let the customer see it if it did in fact exist
