For those of you who have pulled down the roof console and then tried to disconnect the white connector to the left and found it nigh impossible without removing sun shades and lowering the head cover, I made an extension.
When you remove the console there are two connectors to separate, one on right and one on left. The one on right has clearance to get to it. The one on the left does not.


It is hidden back from the opening and not possible to disconnect without lowering the headliner cover. Then it is easy to detach.




I ordered the parts from digikey to make an extension.

 

I wish I had one of those when I updated the header in my XK8. I remember that connector.
