Default Sandblaster cabinet help needed!

First off, I know this is the wrong place for this post and I apologize in advance but I seek the knowledge of the elite people here…
I got a big cabinet sandblaster in my shop I just recently tried to get working, I cleaned it out, 50 lbs of new media (80 grit glass bead) put in. I put a new hose from compressor to cabinet, the gun is a siphon type. I read online about using a shop vac to filter dust as the first time I tried to use it, the cabinet clouded up very quickly. So I hook up a small shop vac and turn it on and BOOM! The glass viewing window imploded and shattered within seconds. What am I missing? Or doing wrong?
any help appreciated thanks

You must have an air hole often with a baffle to allow the shopvac to draw air from outside the cabinet. You basically sucked the window out. Look for a removable blank somewhere on the cabinet.

Can’t lie I know nothing about sandblasting cabinets. This one came with our shop and I haven’t messed with it for the last three years until now. Our shop used to be a motorcycle shop where the guy specialized in triumphs and bsa, as well as others(he was in a lot of magazines and world known) I have no idea how he had it set up and can’t ask, cuz he’s passed (god bless). I’ll post a couple pics

Cabinet with new glass lol

Compressor I think that ran it (also came with the shop)

Only inlet and outlets I see, larger pipe is where I put the shop vac on…. Won’t be doing that again lol
