Sat Nav dead on XKR 2000 model
Hi
My Sat Nav screen is dead on my 2000 model XKR. The only thing it does it light up when the headlights are on but nothing on the screen.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
Also I see there is some sat nav control unit which I thought was the DVD player but apparently another unit. Just wondering if this could be anything to do with it and does anyone know where it is.

Thanks for your replies. I pressed the DVD button in the boot ejected the DVD and put back in but nothing so maybe the screen has gone.
The only way I suppose might be to try another, although I believe in addition to the DVD and the screen there's supposed to be some sort of control unit but not sure.
Any ideas on this

Power to the DVD reader then, which is good. From memory the screen has its own fuse, have you checked that?
On an 03 and later the fuse is number 16 in the passenger side dash fuse box, probably the same on yours but you may want to check your owners manual to be sure.

There are only four components; the screen/control unit, DVD reader, speed module and an antenna. The system is covered in JTIS if you have that, or in the workshop manual pdf from the stickies, which links to http://www.mediafire.com/download/ld...ed+in+1999.pdf
The other, and probably best choice, is to get the DTC codes read.
