Seat back
I am taking out the used seats I bought for a few hundred dollars, and putting them in my friends car(not a Jaguar). I bought some really nice seat upholstery from Ebay, with an embroidered leaper on the headrests and the top boot. The embroidery is in green, so it should look great on my racing green convertible. I did the upholstery myself on my 73 Challenger, and 84 Corvette. The Jag is a bit different, with the hard back piece. I do not see any screws, and do not want to damage the seatback removing it. How does it come off? Spring is here, and a paint job is approaching also. She should look beautiful by the time it gets warmer......Thanks in advance.....Mike

If you are meaning to take the back off od the seat bottom then it is not too difficult, although it probably does require having the seat out of the car to get to the pivot bolt on the inboard side.
Under the plastic cover the hinge for the seat tilting forward is also the bolt that holds the two pieces together. It is a large torx bit. Beyond that, just some wiring to deal with and the bottom and back become separate.
