Default Seat Belt Buckle help needed

I need to replace the wiring going to my buckle as I have a 5-1 flash code.

I tried using moderate force to split apart the two sides of the clam shell but no joy.

Does anyone know a good technique to split it without damaging it?

Are you sure it's within the clam shell... many of these are due to the connectors under the seat?

....... or the Hall Effect sensor in the buckle.

Have you tried just cleaning it with a compressed air aerosol and/or solvent spray?

I had the seat out yesterday to get a good look at it again, it is not the connector as I took that apart and gave it a clean. I will give it a blast with compressed air and see if that helps.

If not I will just need to force the shell off and rewire, the fault is intermittent and "feels" like a wiring issue.

RD, I wait on your solution, as I have tried everything short of taking it apart. I have the 5 2 and can't see a wire connected to the buckle. Had the seat out on two occasions with no luck getting the light off.
I have learned to ignore it, but she who must be obeyed, "why it that light still blinking", has put it into a different priority.
