"Set the bonnet to the service access position"
I have seen this referenced in the JTIS. Is there another position for the hood? It would be nice to have a little more room to work. Thanks
found this inside the forum...raising the hood to its "service position" which is nearly 90 degrees vertical. Do this by removing the support pistons and inserting one each bolt on either side of the front hinge location. It looks precarious, but is actuall quite stable if you are not outdoors [in the wind].

Damn... I could have use that this weekend and my head would have thanked me. I had thought about releasing the dampers as the hinge does look like it is setup for this.. but I didn't have time to fool with if it didn't as well was a bit worried about having the hood coming into contact with something it shouldn't.
Actually I would prefer a "service access position" for the engine/suspension. Bending over it this whole weekend was not the most comfortable thing for my knees.
