Default Shaking of the wheel drive

Hi,
Which one is the must likely in your opinion:
At 65-70mph I get the wheel shaking rapidly. Which would you say is the more likely:
- wheels balance
- alignment
- bushings - control arms issue

Once it goes over or under the speed the shaking is gone. It's for a 2004 xkr convertible.
Please let me know what you think is the most likely.
Thank you very much.

Default Shaking only at one speed - wheel balance

If you consistently get this symptom on different road surfaces, I would check wheel balance first. Probably just threw a weight from the rim. Easy to check - look for clean spot behind the spokes where weight should have been

This is a wheel balance issue. You're hitting a harmonic between 65 and 70.

So no chance it's a bushing or something warped? It's definitely an harmonic issue cause it happens at almost precise speed +- 2mph around 68mph

Thank you for your time. You rock!

Would not hurt to start with $0 stuff. Find the Vehicle Spec Book on jagrepair.com and measure the ride height. It is mainly controlled by the upper strut mount, and the Jaguar part deteriorates quickly over time. Collapsed mount leads to extra negative camber and excessive wear of the inner edge of the tire. This is a very common problem. Not to say it is definitely what is happening here, but nothing good will come out of improper ride height.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

most likely a tire balance and or out of round. A bushing wont cause a balanced tire to vibrate but a bad bushing worn suspension does let a out of balance/round tire vibrate a lot more because it not able to provide the suspension control needed. Get a road force balance check done to start with. That is where i would start

Default Adapter to inflate tires

Ok, so I went to the shop to get a wheel balance.
1st problem, rear wheel pressure was low on each tire. To do a balance you need to inflate the wheel at spec first. Well the tire valve needed an adapter to get inflated, which of course I didn't have. I bought the car 2 weeks ago and that's the kind of thing I've overlooked... Anyways, I was wondering, could it be related to the brembo kit that I know the car have? Also tire says BBS on it. On this tire, the air valve is concealed, and I think it needs a screw removed to access it. Then it needs a special adapter to inflate. The valve doesn't stick out but the opposite it goes inside.
Luckily, guys ended up finding a solution with another adapter, though non jag.
Where do I get there adapters so these tires can get inflated? Does it has to do with the brembo kit? Wheels has a "bbs" on it.
Thanks in advance for any help guys.
PS: reminder 2004 xkr with brembo kit (20" inch wheels)

Default Chapter II

So, somehow, the mechanic could fill the tires but not very precisely because of the adapter. Close enough. So I drove the Jag back, but at this time in LA, traffic prevents to drive at 68. I could reach the speed for a couple seconds though and it felt like the wobbling disappeared so, it yeayyyy.... great...?
..nope.... Arriving home, I'm parking the car and BAM! I get a DSC FAULT light.
Obviously, it's gotta be because of removing all four tires, balance, inflate and put back.
But I'm not sure I want to go back after this, already having problems after a simple service and all.

What would be the problem on your opinion? What would trigger a dsc fault light (after tires removed then back on)?
Is it safe to drive in the meanwhile?
Should in try to reset the light (battery, scanner etc.)
Thanks

Hi,
Already ordered a MXD6163AB adapter. I hope it's the right one... Description say it's for xkr 98-03, my car is a 2004 so... We'll see.
Good night my friends.
