Side mirror rocker switch on '99 XK8
I did some searching and found a thread from 2014 that suggested the rocker being "frozen" and not able to move would be a physical issue, not electrical. I am in a hot climate, so it cannot be the extreme cold temperatures others suggested.
If it is a physical issue, would I be able to spray a small amount of WD-40 into the rocker switch area and have some good results? Do you see any potential issues with doing this?

Wd40 is non conductive, its just plastic and a circuit board in there.
Something is jamming up a sliding plastic assembly. Heres an idea, use it if you choose it: take your palm sander. Turn it on, hold it upside down rest the smooth plastic top of it against the rocker switch area. That thing is vibrating a few thousands of times a second, perhaps it'll jiggle the assembly free.
Just 2b clear sander pad is facing up not touching anything. Sounds like a quick free try to me Wayne.

FYI, I went out this morning and sprayed a tiny bit of WD40 into the slot next to the left/right rocker switch for the mirrors, clicked back and forth, and it is now working. It felt gritty at first but cleared up.
