I used the sport mode today just for fun and when I pushed the button to disengage it, the light would not go out. I tried it several times and also shut down the engine and restarted it with no luck. Anyone have a similar problem or better yet, a solution? thanks.

Is the switch working properly otherwise? Locks down (typically off) then pops up (typically on)? Likely it is a switch failure because a transmission fault either keeps it from going on or causes it to flash.

 

Why would you want to turn sport mode off?

 

Mine did the same, replaced switch. Not much to them and the latching part is very small plastic I couldn't fix it.

 

Thanks Rob. The switch will not stay latched in the down (off) position. I will try to replace it.

 

I had the same issue...ended up going to Portside and found an old sport switch but didnt have the same female end and wouldnt light up or respond...swapped my good "board" from my sport switch and moved it to the good used "shell" sport button. works fine now but the bulb burnt out for the button itself (not the red light but the overlay).
