Default Steering rack bushes?

I've decided to next work on the lower control arm bushes, lower control arm ball joints and the tie rod ends. I was thinking about tackling the steering rack bushes as well, but I can't seem to find instructions on changing those.

Do they require dropping the entire steering rack? What's the procedure? How difficult are they to change?

You can jack up the car to confirm, but I recall it being disconnect the outer tie rod ends, then 4 bolts and then it hangs on the steering column and you can move it plenty and slip off the old and on the new parts. Very easy.

Oh that sounds fortuitous because it seems it would make it easier to remove the lower control arms, which is in my to do list. Am I mistaken?

I did it a while back. Not hard at all. Covered here in my working thread.
