Default strange AC

Gus,
It is still hot in Florida and yesterday had a strange AC experience with my '99. The AC was blowing cold on the drivers side and hot on the passenger side regardless of the settings. I had
the outside air mix turned off. I waited for it to all blow cold but passenger side stayed warm to hot. Any clues?
Thanks!
LaRue

You may have a stuck blend door, each one has a motor, it may need to be looked at.

^^ Agreed. The blend doors and their servo motors should be the initial suspect....

Since you are in Florida you might have issues like I had where the foam bits in the dash are decaying into goo. It is worth pulling out all the vents to check and clean. Gets rid of that musty smell too.

Blend door may be the problem but if you have air out of the vent then it is most likely the system is low on refrigerant. The normal is for the driver side to get hot air and the passenger cold but that is not always the case. I would get the systems pressures checked especially if it has not been serviced in awhile.
