Default Strut assembly parts

Hello, I recently took my car in (1999 XK8 convertible) and they told me i need to replace both front strut assemblys and I'm trying to order the parts myself to save some money instead of having them do it. Currently on my list to order I have:
(2) shock absorber MJA2140DJ
(2)shock mount MJA2170BD

(2)dust cover MJA2148AA
(2)lower seat
MJA2166BC
(2)bump stop
MJA2150BA

Is that all the parts i need or am i missing anything?

Matar, what is your location?
Do you do any of your own work, as this is not a impossible job and you may not need all the parts replaced.
You didn't say how many miles are on the car.
Take a measurement of the center of the wheel to the arch of the fender, that gives you lots of information on the condition of the whole strut area.
The mounts are generally the biggest issue, but I do understand that all parts can be in need of replacement, just very expensive to have someone else do it and lots of places don't like for the owner to get the parts.
Might want to talk to owners need you and see where they take their cars.

I just did mine and I should of replaced the upper A arm bushings. I was pretty beat up at the time and just wanted to get the car back together and put the bushings on my to do list. It would have been a lot easier to have done it then.

welcome - I see this is your first post - recommend going to the new members section and posting an intro - in return, you'll receive a warm welcome and useful tips to navigate the forum

Here is the link to the SNG Barratts parts list - recommend making this site a favorite as it provides an illustrated breakdown. The Bump stops and dust cover - I was able to purchase Moog aftermarket from Advance Auto

Shocks - most have gone with Bilstein at cost savings compared to OEM

Upper shock mounts - OEM or poly (although some have found commercial poly alternatives not as robust as one would assume)

Doubt you will need the spring pan (lower seat) - unless it sat in a salt bath and is corroded to hell. I'm approaching 200k miles on my XK8 with original spring pans but you may need the sprig packer. Below is the SNG parts breakdown. While you're in there recommend replacing at minimum upper control arm bushings

I don't have the tools/experience/space to work on it myself, my car has ~150k miles and was getting a rattling sound after i hit a bump is why i took it in to have them look at it.
They also said the upper right control arm needed replaced but i don't think ill be able to afford that for now.
I'm in a smaller town that my dad knows the guys at this shop and they're good with me getting the parts.

I'm not the shop, but I would suspect upper control arm bushings not the control arm itself unless the car was in an accident, With 150K miles, I'd also look at sway bar bushings and possibly the sway bar end links
