Is there a tool on the market for releasing the tension on the belt so i don't have to remove the fan unit. There is not much room to get anything in there which is why i removed the fans,just wondered if there was a tool available. Many thanks.Anthony.

 

There are these belt tension tools that are basically a flat breaker bar and are easier to get into that small gap. Not sure what the best source would be in the UK though.

 

The 1/2" square drive needs to be at a slight angle.

I just got a piece of flat steel barstock and a piece of 1/2' square steel barstock cut a little longer than 1/2".

Bent the end of the flat steel and welded the square steel to the end.

 

That looks like the very thing, i will get the welder out. Thank you very much.
