Default Suspension help

2002 xkr with 84k miles. I have noticed my car pulling to the left and it is slowly getting worse. I also have some vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. My tires are completely bald on the insides, but the rest of the tire looks ok. During the end of summer, I also heard this squeak every time I would hit a bump and it came from the left front. sounded like a cartoon sound effect.

I took it to get an alignment, but the shop said they couldn't because no camber adjustment. Ok. The dealer took a look and pretty much told me I have to replace every part, struts, ball joints, control arms, bushings etc. I also took it to an indie and he said everything was tight.

I know the upper strut mounts need to be replaced as they are cracking and off-center. I know these will throw off camber, but my question is what else should do while I have the strut off? I know there are the lower bushings that I would also like to replace, but I haven't really found any of these parts online.

I have read all the suspension posts so far and used the search feature, but a lot of the links are dead and I can only find the rear upper strut mounts.

Any help would be appreciated.

As you have experienced not every alignment shop has a qualified operator. It is hard to say what you have going on with your car but repairs are necessary if it is shaking. Your best bet is to ask around for an alignment shop then call and ask them if they are comfortable with giving you a shopping list of what is wrong with the car.

Your problem could be a number of things from ball joints to universal joints the bigger problem you have is finding someone that is willing to you an accurate assessment.

Yes

You may want to consider aftermarket Powerflex as an alternative to Jaguar OE. Slightly harder ride quality but longer lasting.

I will yield to Grahms comments on the bushings. However, that is just a small part of the puzzle. Like a said earlier “Your problem could be a number of things from ball joints to universal joints the bigger problem you have is finding someone that is willing to you an accurate assessment.”
