Swapping the stereo from a newer xk8 - different connectors - Help!
Hi All,
I own a 1999 XK8 with the base sound system and the “basic” stereo - the one without the phone and cd changer buttons. As the frame that held the climate controls/stereo was broken, i found a new one from a newer model, in which the stereo didn’t fit (it didn’t fully entered the slot). Then I sourced a newer stereo (the one with the phone/cd buttons on it). Problem is the connectors do not fit (the new stereo has two connectors, my car has only one and different). Can anybody guide me to a diagram so my electrician can figure out how to re-do the wiring for the new connector? Or is there an adapter for this? Thank you

Follow the link below and download the electrical manual for your vehicle. It will have the wiring for both the basic and premium radio.
