Default Thank you forum members...

Just want to say "thank you" to all of the forum members who share their knowledge with those of us who are mechanically challenged.

A special thanks to H20boy whose post on window adjustments (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ets-dig-37326/) saved me some big bucks.

My indie (whom I do have faith in) told me that I needed a new driver's side window regulator ($600-$800 or less from a wrecker) due to the window not closing properly. H20boy's detailed instructions on window adjustment including photos did the trick.

Removing the door card (door panel for you Yanks), adjusting the window and replacing the door card took me a total of 35 minutes!

As we say Down Under.....Goodonyamate!

How on earth did we ever survive without the internet?

As others have said and something I agree with - this forum is the best tool in a Jaguar owner's tool box!

Second that certainly !

Now if we could just find some financial advisors with as good a track record as the automotive forums we would be in great shape !

Pretty sure that if we listened to financial advisors we would not be in the forum!

A good financial advisor is quite like a good Jaguar mechanic. You need to check around. I started seeing a financial advisor when I was in my mid 40's and I retired comfortably at 58.

Invest in the time, research, and analysis required to become your own financial advisor. I did so and retired comfortably a week before I turned 49....

Remember - nobody cares nearly as much about your financial future as YOU do....

There are currently 2 kinds of economists

Those that think they don't know what the economy is going to do and

Those that know they don't know what the economy is going to do

How does an Airline Pilot (and most Jag owners) make a small fortune?

He starts with a LARGE one!

All the best,

Jim (Ex-Airline Pilot)

So true (....groan)

Escaped corporate America at 54 without much professional advice, in fact through investing exactly opposite generally accepted advice practices (GAAP).

Others have not been so fortunate.

Life is good! Waiting on a late model XK/XF to drift into range.
