Default Thinking about my Daddy

Howdy Folks:
I'm coming up on my first Father's Day with my Jag and can't help but think about my dad who past away about 11 years ago. He would get so excited about me getting a good ride. First was a 1961 Putt Nik Phantom / WB 700-5 port go kart. Others were 65 Malibu SS 327-4sp, 66 Charger 4bbl/4sp, 85 T-Bird/ Anniversary Package, 95 Impala SS, and watching me while I was restoring my 66 Skylark Conv. But I don't think any would compare to the excitement that this Jag stirs up. Many times his "words of wisdom" seemed foolish to me, but not as much anymore. I grew up when it was difficult to say " Dad, I love you" even though my actions tried to show it. I do have hope in that day coming, but for now, I have regrets. What I'm getting at is that if you love someone, it may be best to come right out and tell them now. To all you dads--Happy Fathers Day

I agree.. you can never tell your parents that you love them too often before they go. Then you won't have the chance and will regret it if you don't.

Dr. D I couldn't agree more, life is precious and we must show and tell the ones we love that we love them.

I am saddened by these thoughts, as they have reminded me to think of my father who passed away a little over 2 years ago. And while I didn't fail to tell him I loved him, I now feel like I could have told him more. If your dad's still alive be sure to call tomorrow, if not may peace be with you.

Thanks
mjw

My Father died when I was 16. (Age 47 in 2001) One of his favorite cars was a Jag! Now that I am 26 & just recently bought an 03 XKR I know he is grinning every time the SC throws me in my seat. GOD BLESS!

you guys are luckier than me. My dad died when I was two so have no memories of him at all but the older I get the more I miss him. From what everyone told me he was a car nut just like me. And my son is following in my foot steps.
