Carl,

Wrong forum!

I've moved your question from XK/XKR (2006 onwards) to XK8/XKR-Type forum.

I don't believe you have to buy the whole rack - check SNG BARRATT as they show the PN for the tie rod end kit is JLM1098.

JLM1098 is the Track Rod End (Balljoint) which is readily available from Jaguar or aftermarket sources.

I assumed Carl means he needs a Track Rod .........??

Just learned a new way of saying balljoint... nice

tie rod end should be available after market. Is weird he said tie rod instead of track rod but he also said the whole "rack" not the whole "arm" so im assuming tie rod is ok. If it is the tie rod end, is it the outer or the inner? then we can tell you how to do it and give you part numbers.

So which one is it?

Outer tie rod end?
Inner Tie Rod end?
Balljoint?

And further more:

Left or right?

Apparently Tie rod and track rod are the same thing just another way of saying it. The ends are readily available many thx and sorry about confusion lol

Ask local tire stores, this is a very profitable kind off service. I'm sure they have suppliers that can get the part. Best of luck!
