Hi Gus, that's a lot of time and effort to walk away from, what has prompted you decision?

Gus,

That seems a hard choice given what a '99 is likely to fetch even though it looks (and I'm sure it is) superb.

Gus,

As others have stated, I certainly hope you decide to stay in touch with the forum. Your advice and expertise will always be invaluable. Why are you selling?

No chance to keep both, or hide the XK8 away somewhere in a barn? I know I wish I had held on to my old MK1 TT.

No! The car was and still is a daily drive and it was the wife's car and we both agree it will be hard to give up. With all the money and time spent on it it will be a great car for someone else.

Good luck with the sale. Hope you get top dollar for it....

I sold my 2005 S-Type this past May after 9.5 years of ownership. I waited for the right buyer and he eventually came along. While I miss it, I do not regret selling it. I hope you will come to the same conclusion....

Aw Gus, you'll miss it. The new Jags have no soul...

Lovely car - someone is going to be lucky.

Please don't be a stranger here, and if you change your mind you can store it in my barn anytime

Gus, What a great choice for the replacement.
We have also looked at the XF and unable to pull the trigger on anything until the wife's angle is better.
Don't leave us, we all need your direction. Know we have all your notes, but you sure save us lots of time looking.
Best of luck with the new one.

What submodel XF? R, Supercharged, AWD, RWD, 4.2, 5.0, etc? They have definitely grown on me as a possible XJR replacement...
