Default Top latch lock

I have a hose leaking to the headliner, can these hoses be disconnected some how at the pump and plugged at the pump and unlatch the top manually to lower it?

Having recently had issues with my roof you should find lots of useful information in the tread.

It’s possible to cap of the line going to the latch at the pump then use the manual Allen key to raise and lower the latch, there is a write up on this somewhere. I did it it works fine. If I find it I will forward or perhaps someone else knows where it is replacing the line is a pain this issue happened to a lot of cars in high temperature zones sun on the front cracked the fitting, typical Jag under engineered.

There is a link in my signature line below to the info you'll need to convert to manual latch operation. Since I no longer have an xk8 I don't check in here very often, so send me a PM if any questions arise.

Suggests on an easy place to get the compression nuts and blanking plugs? Just did Google and got a variety of parts. Denis, thanks for your possible source but are there other options?

Just ordered from Malone's. Nice guy. He gets 3-4 orders/year from this forum. He's heard all the green shower stories.
