I've been looking for a replacement tow eye for my 2002 xk8 and found the Information on most vendors websites questionable at best.

It appears that the tow eye is made by Revitas , part number BK109, Jaguar part number HJA4333AA.

Wouldn't a scrap/breakers yard have them?

 

Original Tow eye looks like pic. Most important is the thread spec. Dia 20mm OD. Right hand thread

I bought one of these by mistake, on the right in my photo. I needed the one with the smaller threads on the left. I can send it to you for what it cost me ($17+ shipping). Let me know if you're interested.

Information on the threads for these tow eyes is not easily determined by VIN. OIW, there is no substitute for actually checking what your car was assembled with. Jaguar seemed to have assigned different parts even during the same MY.

FWIW, my car has the finer threads, which happen to cross with many Mazda models. TONS of cheap options on eBay/Amazon for the nicer-looking anodized part.
