My 1999 XKR has had its battery disconnected for six weeks and on reconnecting to start the car I get two fail messages 'Traction Control and 'Stability Control' . Can this have anything to do with disconnecting the battery for a long(ish) period and then reconnecting?

 

Do the messages stop when the car is started and the alt is charging??? Low battery!!!

If the messages are displayed all the time, then DTC(s) is/are stored in the ABS module.
C1095 is common for the pump motor circuit fault (board solder). Could be wheel speed link harness??

After driving 5-10 miles turn off the engine. And turn on and no more messages about traction & stability. Off course if the battery in normal condition.

 

The most precise way to diagnose the fault is by getting the DTCs directly from the module. Otherwise we can all guess.

Tell me please model of aftermarket diagnostic scaner, which can take DTC directly from modules from 1998MY xk8 4.0L.
Only WDS from Genrad, Autologic or may other correct equipment can do this?
Just Mangoose will not working with my car, WDS temporary unavailable, Autologic high expensive.
