Default Transmission pan + oil for Europe

This guy
http://www.xk8-parts.com/index.php/2...-your-gearbox/
supplies all the bits to replace oil pan, filter, bolts etc.
He can ship to Europe.
Here is the MSDS for the Shell ATF which you will need to convince your chosen carrier that it is non hazardous.
I've already passed this on to these folk
http://www.md-couriers.co.uk/
who are very helpful and very reasonable for European delivery

Thumbs up

Look like reasonable prices for DIYers.

As a guide for those in the UK that prefer not to follow the DIY route, you can get the whole job done, ZF 6 speed, for about £200 (Bristol).

I'll take the bits to our Village Carsmith and I reckon it will cost about the same.
I'll slip him a €50 note to do the legwork so thats £160 to get the kit here (I've bought some connector thingy that he said should be replaced at the same time) plus £40 ish.
Cheap for France, but the Bristol thing seems a good deal.
Do they replace the pan and filter for that?

I chickened out last year and had mine done at a main dealer in Hull. I seem to recall paying about £350 + vat.

Don't blame you.

Watching Rev Sam's video, it looks closer to something from the Spanish Inquisition than car maintenance.

Yes, all parts including new screws, sleeve etc. + Road test and check for any OBD codes. Though I think that price is excluding VAT so add 20% = £240

Link to their DIY kit with pic showing what you get/they fit.

Prett much the same price as my guy. Good value fitted + tested though.
It's a long way to drive to get it done!
