Smile Umbrella mount....

I got bought a new umbrella by my lovely wife recently and decided instead of it rolling around in the boot, a proper mount would be needed.

I deceided that mounting it on the underside of the boot would be tidy and neat. What do you think? I made use of the existing plastic rivet things and stitched up some webbing, popped on some velcro and am very pleased with the result.

When not holding a brolly could also double as a bagguet holder!

Very good! I'd been toying with doing something similar. I think there's a genuine accessory for this, but I figured making something would be just as good - as you've proved.

Well done. Were you aware that there is a factory option umbrella that goes right there?

C2C 5101

Well would you look at that! lol

This, I think, is amongst some of my only Jag mods that hasn't cost a small fortune! Does anyone know how much that OEM jag version costs?

The straps/mount are about $20. No idea on the actual umbrella cost.

£28 Umbrella Holder - C2C5101 - Genuine Jaguar at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

But being a genuine OEM part it is surely made of superior fabric hand spun by elves when the moon was just rising and the buckles are clearly of Goblin manufacture

Stay away. Like rust discussions, this is obviously a British thread.

I thought it had to be installed in a hole in the door.

The straps were about the cheapest parts I've ever bought for a Jaguar and the umbrella was complimentary from the dealer.
