On my 2000 xkr convertible there are two connectors, 12 pin and 16pin, in my trunk. Looks like would be for a module. It would have mounted to the left rear of spare tire. Anyone know what these would have connected to. I've only found a 97 manual. It and everything I've found doesn't have anything there. Please and thank you.
Maybe they just wanted to sell us a couple more connectors, and some wire, weather we needed them or not.
Whatever the reason, sometimes you need to know what you're working with. It appears I've got an open circuit somewhere in the canbus circuit
I would suggest that you take a picture of the VCATS label so you have that info if you ever need a replacement module.
Do they tend to be a problem? I was getting error messages for that, along with abs and traction control. After cleaning the wheel speed sensors, they seem to have gone away. Might have had the dampening message, not sure. Have to get it a bit more road worth. RF tire developed a lump. I've got new tires and a wheel to replace a cracked one supposed to be here today. Then you I'll be replacing the front crossmember mounts and whatever else I find adding to the inside edge wear. Then I'll get back to the electrical issues. Hopefully sometime soon I'll get to putting some new paint on it. I knew Jaguar parts aren't cheap. But I had no idea it was the paint too. Something like $800.00 a gallon. That's insane. It'll get new paint and it'll look about the same. It won't be an actual Jaguar color though. After that I think I'll just be left with the hoses for the convertible top.
