2000 XK8

Plastic tube coming off the elbow with the heat shield sleeve is broken. I am told by Jaguar that I need the entire elbow and plastic hose to replace just the plastic hose. The hose is damaged at the stem where it goes into the elbow. Any idea how I can replace this hose without replacing the entire elbow?

Wrong forum..........but my wife has a 2000xk8; I don't recognise the part...........are you talking about maybe the round intake plenum between air cleaner and throttle body ? which has a small plastic pipe for valve cover breather with an elbow? or what

Is there enough usable that you could cut it off and use a barb fitting with a new piece of hose?

Baring that, you could drill out the plastic form the elbow and epoxy in a new fitting of any type you like.

 

I just bough this one Jaguar X100 Air Vacuum Hose Line w Heat Shield | eBay. I broke the end off mine and in case it is not long enough I picked this one up. I'll check mine out on this weekend and if it works I will sell you this one plus the shipping to route it to you if your interested.

 

I repaired my plastic vacuum line on my 99xk8 and from what I can see you are talking about the same line. Look at the last few photos on my pipe repair and see if it is the same one.
