Default Vent with clock

Anybody recognize this part, what model is it from. Need measurements.

1999 Jaguar Interior Vent Clock Wood Grain Dash Instrument Cover and Shift Knob | eBay

I have a. Nav car and want to swap my Nav screen for a new backup camera monitor but don't want to loose my clock. If this would fit my XK8 it would be the ticket.

You'd probably need some custom woodwork done.

My dad has a VDP and, although I haven't compared measurements, the X308 vents and clock are longer overall than the XK8 vents. I might be wrong though.

Good idea!
Some time ago i thought also about swapping the XK8-Vents for the XJ ones because of the clock - i have the nav-screen. Might be, that the overall dimensions are the same, as the vent openings themselves seem to be a little smaller than the XK ones.
Is there an XJ owner who would be willing to measure his vents? OK, might be the wrong forum :-)

Contact me if you want the backup camera to work with your existing nav. screen and keep the nav/clock functionality...I have a kit for that.

Post back here when you find out. This is something I'd be interested in as well.

Thanks Steve, your system works great for integration but I already have a camera and separate monitor that will fit the same hole as the stock Nav screen so looking for a little cheaper solution than the converter and wiring hardness.

Might be coming your way if I can't cobble something acceptable together.

Default Vent w/ clock

Just checked my 2005 XJ8 and if they are the same size, it measures;
13 1/4 inches wide/Long

2 3/4 inches in height at a point across the face of the clock and then slowly tapers down to 1- 6/8 inches measured at the outside of the wind adjustment wheels.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Chuck, the 99 may be slightly different as it does not appear to taper, the size you gave is about 3/4 inch longer than my XK8.

Hopefully someone with an older model will chime in.

Well this was a good idea but a no go. Member on XJ board is reporting 360mm X 61mm that's about 14 1/2 inches long. My XK8 vent is 12 1/2 inches long..
