Went to go poke around the stereo to hookup an aux-in adaptor this afternoon, got the whole thing apart, and then realized the unit simply plugs into the CD changer in the trunk. Bugger. Well, good to know how to do this process anyway.
In that process though, the plastic one-piece bezel surround for all the center stack controls held on with 6 phillips screws largely crumbled into pieces when I was removing each row. I had noticed already one area had already cracked, but this was amplified to the point that in putting back what I could, the whole stack is only held in by 3 screws now (two on the center row at least, one top-left for the HVAC). What a terrible design! This should have at least been aluminum if they wanted a one-piece design. Even the bracket holes for the screws- easily shod out. Very annoying.
I didn't see any replacements on eBay or this discussed in a quick search here- what have you guys done to remedy or replace?

I have upgraded my system. I have a complete surround bezel placed somewhere. I will take a look for it this morning. If I find it you can have it for the price of the post.
