Hi all
I am looking for a VCM 1 so I can put together a setup for my 1997 XK8. I am hoping some can help me find one for reasonable or give me suggestions for alternatives to communicate with my car beyond the standard code reader.
Any help id be very grateful plan on keeping my Jag for along time

i can throw another one together. you really don’t need the utility of a VCM for an x100 there’s nothing going on with these cars

 

Sorry not understanding what you are saying, I need to be able to address the modules. Do you have one? The one I saw on market place is a full system I have a laptop and the software

i sold it years ago. what i’m saying is you absolutely do not need a VCM for an X100, knockoff mongoose does everything.

i can throw together an identical system or make one with a mongoose for a fraction of the price.

do you have a recommendation for a knock off, i was reading some had trouble with mongoose knock off comunicating with the early 1997 cars, any info you could pass on would be greatly appreciated. I reached out to British Diagnostics but have not got a reply on email asking about theirs for the 1997.
I have an issue with this car saying Wrong Part on the dash I'm thinking somebody changed a module at some point and I want to be able to program the system to correct this

Beware of BD. I ordered (and paid for) a unit from there. 35 days later and no response to email so gave up and got Visa to do a chargeback. Sooo, I'm now looking for an alternative source.
He was pretty quick replying to the my sales enquiry, though
