what code reader?
#2
There are many code readers out there, in the UK they start from around $30 and up to $1500 for a full blown, all singing and dancing VCM. It all depends on what you want to read, if it's real basic Power Train codes then a good basic one will most likely be under $100 I would guess? A good middle of the road is Autoenginuity, & then it goes up again if you want the Jag Extn pack. Then comes Mongoose & Rotunda VCM's using SDD OR IDS lot's of money if you opt for the "real deal," the benefit of these is that they read almost everything and all the modules inc ABS & SRS modules & key programming.
Then there is the "clones" from a far away land, lot's of discussion on this topic and well worth a read on here, just "search" for clone scan tools and you will find a large thread that will give you the Good, Bad & Ugly on "clones."
Me personally...I have SDD with a genuine Mongoose Jaguar OBD tool, and I see everything except "gold key." No doubt other owners will chip in here and help...TS
