Default What paint color is this? - XKR

Hi Guys,

I posted this in the 2007+ XKR forum yesterday but I did some research and I think this XKR is somewhere around a 2005 or so...

Anyway, I love this color and it is very close to the original color of a old motorcycle I'm restoring. Can someone tell me me with some degree of certainty if the name of this color is:

1. Jaguar Racing Green
Or
2. British Racing Green

Thanks in advance.

It seems that both of these colors were available from about 2003 - 2006 so I'm not sure which one it is.

Looks like Jaguar Racing Green, not British Racing Green.

Jaguar Racing Green is a metalic paint so it will sparkle in the sun, and it is a little lighter green. British Racing Green is a straight paint and pretty dark, can almost look black when in dim lighting.

Definitely Jaguar Racing Green. My car is British Racing Green. The year of the car is a bit tough to tell. It is 2003+ since it has the 4.2 and before the body change in 2007 so in the 2003-2006 range. To compare to BRG, here is mine on a mostly sunny day:

I have a color question also. I know that my 2005 is Quartz and when I first saw the car before buying, it first struck me as a sort of graphite color. But now that I have owned it for some time it appears (at least to me) that there is a slight tinge of green in it. My wife thinks I am nuts and that I must be partially colorblind (she is unquestionably spot-on about the nuts part). I realize that nobody sees colors exactly the same way but are there any other Quartz owners out there who feel that this is actually a slightly greenish grey?

Thanks,

Doug

I was in your garage (on the forum) and definitely saw some soft green in it. Looks good.

It is an 04+, because the 03 still had the body side molding.

It is definitely a North American 2005-6. The exhaust tips, bumper cover, spoiler, and side sills ID it.

I would say it was Jaguar Racing Green according to this chart:
http://www.carsdirect.com/2005/jaguar/xkr/colors
Last year for British Racing Green was 04.

I believe it is my color...Aspen Green Mica. The color is amazing...hints of blue in certain light, but a beautiful green in most lights. I fell in love immediately.

I also have a Quartz jag and, yes there is green in it. I am an architectural interior designer so colors are kind of my business; so I guess you could say that is a professional opinion.

Thanks--I knew I wasn't seeing things. The green sort of comes and goes depending on the lighting.
