Wish I still had the WW-II Swedish army surplus 20mm semi auto anti tank gun I bought when I was 12 (mail order even). It was advertised in Guns and Ammo magazine and cost me $99 plus $1.00 per round.
I had it a couple of weeks before mom found it under my bed. Oh well.... she just didn’t understand why a 12 year old “needed” an anti tank gun

Ha, I had a US Army surplus bazooka when I was pre-teen. I never could find the ammunition for it. Life would have been different if I did.

When I had a place in Houston I was very happy having my XK8 serviced at Jaguar of Houston, 5615 Schumacher Ln, Houston, TX 77057 (713) 266-8525. It's a small shop and the owner is a terrific, very knowledgable guy. His prices are very resonable too.

Oh if only the internet existed then! Bazooka owner seeks Rocketman for explosive relationship!
I had 2 bazooka rockets(practice, no bang) I spent many hours trying to crack them open to refuel.
Life would have been different if I did. Different indeed. No luck.
Mom did not understand why I had those in the basement.
Dad did.
They were in the basement until I left for the Army.
Gone when I got back.
Along with my million dollars in 1940s and 1950s comic book collection.
Mom did not understand why I had those in the basement.
Dad did.
But, Mom took out the trash while I was away.
Dad did not!
Alas. Dad gave me a beer.
We drank to our dreams.
Mom did not!

Speaking as a Brit in the UK this thread took an unexpected turn. Going from a mystery compartment handy for Haribo to bazookas under a bed and the daily problem of where to keep a gun.

An amused Mike

PS: It's not much good for Haribo really.

OK, since we've already jumped the shark with this thread, let's take it up another level.

WE HAVE A WINNER!
Unless someone has a P-51 Mustang fighter or a light Bomber such as a B-25, which, GOD HELP US, would not be a surprise coming from this group.

I think that I saw a documentary or read an article about the story of this tracked vehicle. It was fascinating.

Cheers,
Dennis

Dennis, parallel lives, my mom trashed my 500 comic book collection, including an original copy of when superman died. I sometimes show my Mercedes 560SL and run into this Daimler (Benz) around Ohio, that has bright red plugs in the machine gun barrels to be street legal.

Default Secret compartment?

I was also mystified by this little "cubby hole". I had bought a set of Jaguar manuals on E-Bay, and I think I remember reading in there it said that was for storing your sunglasses. I use mine for keeping my registration and insurance card in A WORD OF CAUTION.... If pulled over by law enforcement, don't go reaching around down there until after OKing it with the officer. My Ohio state Highway Patrolman daughter pointed this out to me.

Sure, could get one. I have a permit and carry a 9MM double barrel Deringer as my backup weapon to my 40 cal. Smith & Wesson.

For UK members I can also confirm it's pretty useless as it won't take a full size bag of Haribo

It's for re-positioning your trip computer switches to allow an additional extra gauge of your choice to take its place in the dash.

You can likely order it now in Texas and 'open carry' it. Right B.C.??

That's rather clever. Very neat as well.
