For years I used to use that compartment for a garage keycard. I've had my '98 since new in 10/97 and I do not have a cargo net. But I don't have any cargo either so I haven't missed it.

If it was only a little larger, I could put my little .380 in there! Now I have to carry it in my Arm-Rest............(.brobin), If you had a Cargo Net you would have Cargo...

I use mine for my Autool X60, as i didn't want it looking like an addon. it's a snug press fit.
I've set the water temp alarm at 220F so if i hear it whilst driving, a quick pull of the flap and i can see the display through the gap in the steering wheel.

That will clearly work Billy Clyde, but, if you don't want to lose the tapes, the armrest is a better fit for grenades.

Tapes, electronics, grenade.

Why do you drive around with a grenade? Do you live in a war zone?

A grenade might be the best defense against a 'car-jacker'?
Got to be STUPID to get into a car with a guy with a grenade!!!

I guess you could put a rubber ***** named STEELY DAN III in your cubby.

Steely Dan Band Name Inspired From A “Strap-On *****” In Williams S. Burroughs “Naked Lunch”

Steely Dan III from Yokahama.

I bought the tape at an antique mall since Sam Goody's appears to be closed for some reason.

Salesperson girl/woman (20ish with a smirk): "Know why the band is named Steely Dan"
Dale: "Yes"
Salesperson girl/woman (crestfallen): <silence>

I keep my reading glasses in there so I can see what the cops clocked me at when I sign the speeding ticket.

No, no, no, its all wrong, the secret compartment is for the grenade, and the center console is for the .357 mag. 8.5" S&W revolver. At least it fits for me.

Hey Guys,
Come on! It's still to small for all those One/ups you're putting on my little .380....Guess I'll have to start carrying something a little larger....What about my 1911 with the extended Mag???...but where would I put it?

A grenade is good for social distancing. For those who prefer a less aggressive way to prevent COVID consider:

It is pretty useless. I bought a .25 pocket pistol to try to fit in there but it was still too big. I thought about getting a single shot derringer to put in there. I am pretty sure I could get one of those to fit.

Mine is just used for sunglasses, but they only fit when in the micro cloth bag,

Firearms that measure up to my standards of lethality will only fit in the trunk.

Wish I still had the WW-II Swedish army surplus 20mm semi auto anti tank gun I bought when I was 12 (mail order even). It was advertised in Guns and Ammo magazine and cost me $99 plus $1.00 per round.

I had it a couple of weeks before mom found it under my bed. Oh well.... she just didn’t understand why a 12 year old “needed” an anti tank gun

I stopped by the Bank this Morning and cashed a Check....They put the Money in one of those little Cash envelopes and I left for the Office....I noticed a Black Chrysler behind me on the way and when I pulled into my Parking Space at the Office...They pulled into the Parking Lot. Needless to say, I was pretty happy to have the little .380 by my side! When I opened the door to get out I pulled it out of the Arm Rest and made sure they saw it....Thank Heaven they decided to drive away! They had one of those Paper License Tags on the Rear, so I couldn't get their real Tag Number...Things are getting pretty bad out there, so everyone watch what you are doing....especially around a Bank Parking Lot....use the Drive-in if you can!
