wheeler dealer video
Thanks for letting me watch this with Amazon, on my TV. It is the first Wheeler Dealer episode, where the car had no serious problems, and most of the show was putting on add-ons, and upgrades. It also appears our cars are not the P.O.S. all the comments on this forum make them out to be. They did less to this car, than the Bentley, Lotus, TVR, etc, than any show I have seen. It appears they were just killing time, after the 100 pounds sterling part was replaced.....Great video.....Thanks.....Mike
I think whats neat too is that in the UK, people drive the hell out of their cars generally speaking. They salt the roads, theres diesel grime, alot more stress on the suspension and chassis because of the roads, and still that car looked pretty solid. A testimony to how they are built I feel.
Well done footage. Did get a few pointers. Love to find the serious fuel and engine decarbonizer they used here in the States.
I have used a more primitive fuel injection cleaner in the past on other vehicles and it does help.
Cannot help but think the poor fellow who sold the XK sold out a little light. Looks to me he was afraid to have a tech work out the limp home mode problem. The clear reason the seller sold. Rich

I remember seeing this video, I was impressed with the engine decarbinizer too. Since then I've kept an eye out for this kind of thing and wanted to give folks a heads up. I was stunned to view exposes on the WWW targeting folks at oil change franchises. These are franchises that you and I pass every day but here's my point. I don't think the "engine cleaning service" they sell is anything like the one above - DON"T make that mistake.
In fact I invite you to research it before you ever consider using one - there are so many reports of engine failures after this service you would be shocked. In fact one of the news channels involved produced documents from Honda that flat out warn you not to ever utilize this service.
I am adding this because I dont want anyone making the mistake of thinking that the service offered at your quick oil change place is the same thing you see in this video. For those who want to look into this further google: "Jiify lube engine flush damage" and make your own decision.
Hope this helps down the road.

Had it done to my 2001 XK8 about 50 miles ago. Mostly auto dealer/service center guys have it. So, unlikely you'll get them to do your Jag (Ford dealer, Aston, and a Bentley shop). I found an independent service center in West Los Angeles at the Santa Monica Auto Center (corner of Pico and Barrington). Not a huge difference. But, it does idle smoother and has a harder kick when stomping on the gas. Its called a Nanos Decarbonizer process by TerraClean.

lol.I am from England and I drive my lovely 2003 more sedately than any other car I have had. Our speed limits on our Motorways (Highways) is 70mph which I believe is higher than your speed limits? These cars are designed to be driven at speed and if you do not actually use that speed sometimes it can have a detrimental effect on your engine, the 'mayo' effect under the oil filler cap etc.
As for the Terraclean I had mine done. No marked change in performance but it did make a difference to the emissions. All the readings were spot on and the Hydrocarbons had a reading of 0 as in Zero.
Obviously the program is made in the UK as are the Jaguars, around 40 miles from me. When you watch the program on the Morgan car and they take the car for a test drive the countryside they drive through is where I walk the dog everyday. Where the Morgan is made. The Malverns.
Right I am off now to drive over a cliff at 150mph on to a salted road covered in diesel grime.
