I have a problem with my side windows on my '01 XK8. The usual operation causes the window to open slightly when either the inside or outside door handle is operated. When the door is closed the window goes up to its fully closed point. However, now the window goes down each time I touch either handle and does not go up. It will only go up when I turn the ignition on and press the window up button. I did just install a new battery, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this or not but it seems unlikely. This is happening on both the driver's side and passenger's side. This is a problem because if I get out of the car the driver's window goes down that slight bit but does not go up when the door is closed leaving it open for the rain.

I did a search but can't seem to find an post with the same issues, although, my searching skills seem to be somewhat lacking. Any help as to where to look would be appreciated.

Well as it turns out my search terms needed a little tweeking. I found the "reset" procedure on the old interweb. Now if there was a real "procedure" for CAT monitor reset I'd be a happy man!!
