Without ugliness there is no beauty. Merry Christmas.

Thank you! I saw this thread and thought it might give some other people ideas. It all started with the dreaded hydraulic hose leak in the top. I had always planned to redo the interior so when the leak happened it was time. I decided to put on a new top, do a complete interior, polish the paint, fix minor dents, re finish the wheels and I'm sure a few things I'm forgetting. I'll look for a few more interior pics. My new project, that i'm actually going to do myself as opposed to writing a check, is a 1989 XJS V12. The interior is almost perfect but it needs maintenance, lots of maintenance. Then a cool exhaust and manual transmission!

Recently had the entire front suspension redone and simultaneously switched to 18" wheels from 20". Took it for a spin this morning up Little Tujunga Canyon between Sylmar and Santa Clarita (north of Los Angeles), a fantastic twisty climbing road. Top down and really pushing it.

My 1974 Datsun 260Z was very close to that color, probably just a shade darker and not quite as brilliant....

Hashim: No doubt you have a beautiful finish on your Jag. I see you are in the UAE. Last time I was in Dubai I took a pic of another highly reflective paint job on a RR. I'm posting it here with apologies that this is not a Jaguar picture. It seems that high end cars in the Arab lands are more attractive; maybe it is the paint, maybe it is the sunshine, or maybe it is the pride of the owners? Relatively few vehicles in the USA require eye protection just to look at them.

Outstanding paint in the UAE

Love the 18 inch wheels--pulls the whole car together.
