I usually like silver or grey metallic on a vehicle, but it hides the design features on the XK8/R. The darker colors highlight the design features, and lines of the car so much better especially the headlights and grille. IMHO. It is a beautiful car no matter what color it is.

Is that coincidental number plate good for parking in the handicap spot at Ingrow station?

Not parked, merely paused (diagonally across 2 spaces on a Sunday afternoon after the final train of the day, if you're concerned).

I got confirmation of my entry into the calendar competition yesterday. Now to wait and see if it makes the shortlist!

Stunning scenery. It's almost like mono and colour photos stitched together.

After several months off the road the XKR is finally roadworthy. The wheels have been refurbished (several times!) and all the leaks finally fixed, and new Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted. Adamesh stage 1+2 exhaust and new rear bumper mounts, clear side indicators and reflectors.
As a special treat I've coated the bodywork with Autoglym rapid ceramic spray. This stuff is brilliant - the bodywork is so smooth and shiny nothing sticks to it. It's so easy to wipe off dead flies and even brake dust. Highly recommended!

Default Ms. Maybe 1998 XK8

This is more of a "before" series of photos. By this time next year hopefully she will be more dependable (and less "Maybe") and a bit prettier.

Great thread. All the fabulous cars provide inspiration. Thanks.
