Is that little White Building out in the Field, an old ATC Radial? Can't see it quite good enough to tell...…………

Thanks for the Photo!

Hey Billy,I decided to keep the amber on my white car. If it were black or silver…clear for sure. Other colors? I would need to buy and try.Not one of those older cool curved buildings, there are some in the area…will take a shot when I see one and post it.Yep, west of Austin, the area between Dripping Springs and Fredericksburg holds some great roadways and topography. As Austin’s population continues to explode I find that it isn’t as ‘safe’ to push the limits any longer as law enforcement is starting to patrol a bit more. The area from Kerrville to Bandera (and further west) is still pretty much open range driving but it is just a bit too far for my afternoon ‘whim’ drives.Would you please list the exact part # for the LED Hi Beams (or pm me that info)? wj

An excellent road for driving "under the radar" are the public highways used for the Big Bend Open Road Race. Measures a little over 50 miles each way and unlimited fun can be had if you keep your eyes open.

Nice looking coupe and excellent product placement. I used to work in the Stainless Building in far background, but we never got signage. You see our signage on our LA building which shows up in the background of various movies and TV shows with car chase scenes. Always exciting in SOCAL

Exclamation The Texas Races

zray,

Two of my Son's got their Degrees from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX...that's about 100 Miles North of Terlingua, TX, which is just outside of the Southern Entrance to the Big Bend National Park....It's only about 100 Miles from Alpine.....Those Roads out there are long and lonely as are the Roads coming South from Fort Stockton....Long and Hot in the Summer, long and Cold in the Winter, as they are in High Country...4,500 ft with Mountains in the surrounding area over a mile high! Everything out there is measured in 100 Miles.

I noticed that there was only 1 Jaguar that ran in the Races and that was a 2017 but did not say what Model.....That's long lonely country out there.....Don't think I would want to go that far to RACE.....!

BigBendRoads,That is for sure. A friend of mine and several others used to take long weekend trips into that area with Zx11's,900RRs and the like. I'm not much of a straighaway guy but when I exited Apine heading into the park and saw that 2-3 miles expanse I pulled over, removed my tank bag, hugged the tank and found out how fast the bike could run. The smile on my face was so huge that I did it three more times. Later that winter my buddy called me up from Terlingua, he had just installed a computer upgrade to his M5 and hit 185...said the brakes were awesome!

Parked next to this DB7 Vantage at the southern NH cars and coffee in Salem NH. Had a pretty good conversation with him regarding parts sharing, especially the gem that the XKR100 Brembo rotors are interchangeable with his own and are also significantly cheaper than the official Aston Martin parts.

After 4-5 years without a Jag, I picked up this 2001 XKR a couple of weeks ago. It's a former Calif. car, with 100,000 miles. Seems to be very well maintained, by a professional mechanic who owned it for the last year. All updates have been done. Its currently in his shop attending to a couple of punch list items. Looking forward to driving this car!

Congrats. IMHO, the 2001 XKR convertible with the 5/5 18 inch wheels is the best ride. Looking forward to pictures or your Cat out and about,

Love those rims. Wish I had them on my 2005 XKR. I have 20s which look nice but I think the 18s give a bit better ride.

The color of the car is also great as I hear black is the fastest!

Taken last Saturday in Rome, Italy. Possibly last chance to drive with roof down this year. XK8 2000 bought last month.

Taken by one of the most beautiful fountains here in Rome, Italy.

While some of the bigger wheels look good, I really like the Double Fives like those on my XKR. I like the Detroit and Montreal wheels a lot too, but they're a wee bit costly to acquire.

The quality of the road surface here is generally poor so whilst I would have preferred 18’ inch wheels the 17’ are better for ride comfort.

Beautiful car and beautiful setting! I used to visit Rome frequently. Where in the city is this fountain located?

No beautiful setting here, only finally out of the garage now that top-down motoring weather is finally here. She has been under wraps for the past four months, what with the incredibly wet July and oppressive heat and humidity here on the island since then. Fall/winter has arrived, the best time for this kind of experience.

Not up here when it's freezing cold with 100+ Ne winds and driving snow

That's the same for me. Actually going to spend some time with the Cat today and get it ready for it's exposure to the elements here. Mine has also been stored away during the hot summer months in the desert. Fall and Winter are the best time for me to drive around with the top down. The temps have dropped down to around 90, so it's that time again.
