Default The best winter weather

In central Texas there are an abundance of Xmas Fairs the weekend after Thanksgiving. Well, with temperatures in the high 70s (f) and sunny skies my companion and I drove out to Boerne Texas, a beautiful small town just north of San Antonio. I was surprised that she didn't ask to lower the top but never the less, it was a beautiful day and a great drive.
Be safe out there...I encountered quite a few speed enforcers.

Yes. This photo was taken in Zion National Park. It was on a 6,000 Km road trip from Vancouver BC through Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and California last fall.

It is a 2008 XKR Portfolio Coupe. One of only 25 Portfolio XKRs imported into Canada in 2008. I don't know how many were coupes. I have read that there were 225 2008 XKR Portfolios imported into the US. The Celestial Black paint (blue in the sunshine) was unique to the 2008 Portfolios, as are the 20" Cremona wheels.

Dear Gypsy,

There's a place on the Forum for X-150's and I for one would appreciate it if you would show your Photos on that Forum.....I could care less about how many and what color and all that stuff an X-150 has or does....Now, if you have a X-100, you would be welcome to show it anytime but that 's not the case.....So, please move on!

I didn't mean to offend you. I responded to an email asking members to post their pictures of their XKRs. I didn't know that mine was an unacceptable model, so I thought some additional details would clarify which model it was.
Your suggestion that I "Please move on" sounds like a good idea. I had assumed that the Jaguar Forum would be a more civilized community, and I was rather surprised by your caustic comments.
I will be cancelling my membership. I really don't think this is a community I would feel comfortable in.

Yeesh, what's the big deal, it is a picture of a car. And not the worst looking one on this earth either.

Yes this isn't exactly the right forum but it also isn't like this is the first non-x100 to show up in the picture thread and I have not seen such a reaction when it was an E-type or a Pantera or an AM of some sort. I somehow had the idea that the point was to appreciate good looking pieces of curved metal but I guess, like so much in this country now a days, everyone wants to have their own little club and keep the "others" out.

Worry not blacktop, you probably have enough spare change to pick up an x100 and then you will be welcome back here. Buy in to this club is quite cheap.

blacktopgypsy - welcome to the forum - no need to cancel your membership. The forum is segregated by model and your not the first to post an X150 or other pic in the X100 section. Here is the link to the X150 section https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/

Also I see you have not made the obligatory introductory post - when you have a moment - please stop by the New Member section (link below) and post a brief intro - in return - you will receive a much warmer welcome and useful tips/tricks to navigate the forum.

I thought it was a beautiful car car, regardless of the model. Aren't we in this forum to appreciate our cars and assist the marque without cutting each other down? I'm still looking for an X-100 mode (2003-2006), but if there is an attitude is required to own one, maybe I should look at a higher level?

No attitudes by any. Theres separate sections within this great forum for a reason. 'Higher level' tho...?

blacktopgypsy... No offense meant by any of us... but HERE is the link for the picture section for your x150. THIS forum (and this thread) is for the x100... simple as that!

Kinda saddened by the way this went.
blacktopgypsy posted pictures of an x150 in the wrong box: it's pictures, FFS - not a 'please help me, my xxx broke/is leaking/
[insert problem here]' thread.

I imagine that she will find greater approbation in the X150 forum, but - as far as I know - nobody died and the world is still
turning. We all make mistakes because we're all human.

Our shared passion is for these beautiful cars and, as discerning Jaguar owners, we should be above this.

Exclamation Ms. Gypsy the Traveling Lady!

[QUOTE=blacktopgypsy;1954798]

Zion National Park
Sorry about jumping on you last week! I really didn't put this Photo and the other (2) together as being from the same person until you pretty much ate me up in your return Post.....I pretty much deserved everything you said about me and I understand the way I made you feel...... Hopefully, this will get back to you soon and you will find it in your Heart to forgive me for being so "whatever" you called me.....I've never been on the X-150 Forum but I'll bet those Guys and Gals are not as special as most of the Guys on this forum.....therefore, I don't see any reason for you not to visit us! After all your XK is Black!
