Sorry for the delayed response. I've decided to put kitty back together as opposed to executing her. I couldn't bear to take one thing off of her, which was an extremely depressing thought.

 

Don't blame you at all, I'm sure I'd feel the same .

 

I am so sorry for the damage to your Jag. It hurts. But it sounds like you are well. A Blessing for sure.

 

Here's the damage...

The hood and fender can be saved...that god...




Bumper cover...maybe I can save it. Thank goodness I have a background in plastics/fiberglass repair. I just replaced that headlight too...




The quarter panel can be saved too




It's ugly, but it's 90% cosmetic. It doesn't look like it from the pictures but the damage didn't even reach the antennae mastI see a lot of exercises in patience in my future. Thankfully someone invented the Porta Power.

 

Hey Marvin, last November, I kissed the rear steel bumper of a box truck and made ugly out of the front. found a donor xkr in tampa for $2500, same color code, and had a shop swap em. the minute it happened I couldn't believe it!!! must be a dream and am going to wake up any second now....but no, I was wide awake and it did happen. here's a couple pics from KISS to BACK ON THE ROAD.


btw, very sad to see those pics!!! I just saw an gold xk8 being salvaged/parted out. you might try looking for a donor car that has most of the body parts you need...you just might get lucky like I did. STATEWIDELIST is a wonderful tool & free. I use it all the time.

I definitely have some of the parts, passenger rear quarter and fenders in great shape if your interested. Live in Ohio though, long way to ship.

What are the color and asking prices?

 

Parts are silver, see my profile pics. I have cut it out well away from the factory welds and can post pics if you would like. I will sell it for $300 plus the shipping. Front passenger side fender, same car, also in very nice shape, $150 plus the shipping. I will post pics later this afternoon.
