X100 vs X150 backseats
#2
Are you comparing convertibles or coupes? I have no first-hand knowledge, but allegedly, for convertibles, the back seat is larger in an x150 (and I would guess for a coupe as well). Someone with more direct knowledge should hopefully comment more. I know there are a few on here that own one of each.

I own both a 2003 Convertible and a 2010 Convertible.
The rear seat space is a bit of a fallacy as neither car has much at all. If you intend to have anyone ride in the back seat(s) the real question is how much room is there in the front seats. This is due to needing to move the front seats forward if you have any back seat passengers as otherwise there is zero leg room. To this end it means how much are the front seat passengers willing to compromise their space to accommodate the rear passengers. With this in mind I can say when I drive the 2003 the most comfortable driving position for me is with the seat fully back against the rear seats. If I have a rear-seat passenger behind me, I need to move the seat far enough forward that driving is actually quite awkward. However in the 2010, the most comfortable driving position finds the driver's seat about 2-3 inches from fully back. And therefore with a rear-seat passenger it is not as uncomfortable to move it forward only another 3-4 inches to give enough rear-seat leg room. Thus IMHO, the 2010 actually has better "rear-seat" accommodation.

If they go in the back seat of your X100 without complaining then they will also go in the X150. The deeper curved seat bases won't trouble agile youths! I only ever sit in them to clean the windows and getting back out is a challenge! It would be a lot easier in a convertible.
I no longer have an X100 to be able to compare them directly but I think the available footroom under the front seats may be less for rear seat passengers in the X150 than in the earlier model. Worth checking when you see the X150.

Well, we checked out the 2010 XKR. Kids fit a bit better than the X100. I think there is a touch more room in the cabin regarding space (front and back).
The 2010 is way more advanced and unquestionably more powerful. The 2003 XKR had a charm and classic feel that the 2010 lacks. However, the car is really nice.
The one we are looking at is from my local dealer I have a good relationship with. Mechanically, it’s right we’re you want it to be. Cosmetically, it’s really good. Has a touch of wheel rash on 1 or 2 (unavoidable around here). Headliner is starting to show the typical foam/glue breakdown. Most noticeable is the pulling dash. It’s not the worst I’ve seen but not good. Car seems priced accordingly.
Now, my wife just needs to decide if she wants it.
Thanks all.

Too often questions get asked and answered but then we never hear the outcome.
