It has been suggested that I possibly have a bad ECM on my 2000 XK8 convertible. I have found a few with the same LNF1410BD. They are marked with MB079700-8813, but are listed as being from an XJ8. Is there a difference between the XJ8 and XK8 ECM?
My VCATS sticker says LNF1410BD/103.

Any help is appreciated!

Most sedans I see are /503 suffix on the VCATS.

 

Would it require reprogramming? Who can do that?

 

No idea, never tried.

 

Here is the TSB/SERVICE ACTION S479 we got for the early cars when I worked at the dealer.

Required info for ECM replacement form to be filled out as well when warranty was involved.

NO IDEA if it will apply to 2000MY onward.

 

just run immo setup and it should work
